Why I paint in community

I had a period where I was painting alone at home. Honestly, I got bored. I painted less often, I would start things and leave them unfinished, and it was harder to stay consistent.

That experience taught me that it is important for me to have a space to go to, a time in the calendar, and people around me who are also creating.

When I started painting with others, everything changed. Being in community motivates me to paint more often. Sharing the space, talking about what each of us is making, seeing other processes — it gives me energy and rhythm.

That is why I created Art Connection Studio: an open online space to paint, connect and share. It is not a class and there is no formal instruction — just a weekly meeting to bring your materials, paint together and belong.

If you feel the call to create, whether as a profession or simply to be more creative in your life, the space exists. Come and paint with us.
